No, University disposal practices are for University materials. The only exception to this is if the University hosts and publicizes a designated event in which the campus community is instructed that they can bring items from home. Some items can be taken by El Paso and Teller County residents to the Hazardous Waste facility for no charge. We encourage you to use disposal facilities with e-Steward certification.

No only small electronics with no data retention capability can be placed in the black collection buckets. Anything with data retention capability must follow the UCCS Disposal Guidelines, so OIT can insure proper data destruction and security.
